InterviewAs Sport Director of FIMS, Klempt-Giessing was one of the dominant leaders during the 1960’s and 1970’s. He was very influential in establishing the basic minigolf rules that still exist today. Klempt-Giessing was very motivated in promoting minigolf sport internationally and he was one of the leaders in bringing the minigolf and miniaturegolf organizations together to establish the WMF.

During my first years in international minigolf, I had the opportunity to meet Klempt-Giessing a couple of times and it was obvious that he was a very well respected minigolf leader. We have lost one of the minigolf pioneers and to his family we extend our condolences
